ANOTHER TRUTH TELLER LEAVES US

George Carlin is dead.

Carlin will go down as one of comedy's greats. He had an unflinching style and was willing to take on any subject, no matter the taboo. His career had a proper arch; he went from square to hip in a heartbeat, transforming himself into "the voice of the counterculture" and reigning as such for many years. He was one of the big ones.

I'm sure he's in the club in the sky, kicking it backstage with Lenny and Bill.

Here's to you George, you motherfucking dead cocksucking son of a cunt.

Let's declare today international profanity day, in honor of Carlin.

How many languages can you be nasty in?

I'll start it off: 씨발 개새끼야!!!

george

many forget his great role in Bill n Ted...

He was a genius

I was lucky enough to catch him live back in 1985 at the now closed Beverly Theater in Beverly Hills. I was 17 years old.

We ate mushrooms and went to see him and it changed my life.

He played Ben Assfleck's father in Jersy Girl which was a nice movie, as well as Cardinal Glick in Dogma, another Kevin Smith movie. As well as Rufus. He also did the Ed Sullivan Show and top notch standup for over 40 years. His last bit, the HBO standup show earlier this year was brilliant.

Fungu!

I got to see (and meet) Carlin in 1975 when he played my college. He kept going past midnight, the show was so electric. The next morning I could not get out of bed, my ribs hurt too hard. Many years later, he helped out a leftie group I was affiliated with by allowing the group to use his business office after hours. He was a very nice man in person, as so many cynics really are.

And I know Merde is shit in French and Succa ( not sure on the spelling) is bitch in Russian..
