tiny spooky, hedgehog, flag, shoe, cash

BRIEFLY (SORT OF)

Yesterday I suffered an a hangover of Nagasakian proportions, no doubt fueled by the St. Patrick's day madness that ensued the night before. My glorious punk rock cover band, F+, played two shows on Saturday night - one at the big party at O'Brien's and another late set at Ol '55, with all of the free booze that entails. I was supposed to take it easy, since I was scheduled to move in the morning, but irresponsiblity prevailed, and I found myself staggering into my (now old) apartment at around 5 am yesterday morning.

Needless to say, the 9am move never happened.

But I did managed to make it to the apartment to sign the papers and get the keys and fork over an ungodly amount of cash (via ATM transfer). I rescheduled the actual truck move for last night (after four hours of teaching, good Gawd) and spend my first night in my new pad. Sweetness all the way around.

I still have a couple of things at my old joint, as well as my two cats. I am considering giving Myeolchi the Calico Kitten away, as I originally intended. There are pros and cons to having two cats, but right now the cons may be winning out. Myeolchi is super sweet and cute as hell, but the hair and furniture scratching with two cats is deadly. They also go through tons of expensive Korean cat food, and there have been a few bed peeings of late, which I cannot abide. I don't understand what possesses a cat to piss on the bed, but it happened again yesterday for the fourth time in a month, and I ain't havin' it. So perhaps it's time to get back down to the reasonable number of one pet cat.

In other news, I'm starting a two-week no booze experiment. I did one week last year without a problem, so I figure two weeks to dry out isn't unreasonable. I may fail, but I'll do my best. I also have to turn up the studying heat for this Korean test I'm taking next month, and having a Korean formaldahyde beer pickled brain ain't too conducive towards memorizing irregular verb conjugations.

And finally... I miss my dad. Terribly.
