THOSE CATS ARE CRAZY
Both of my cats hate tuna fish, or anything else out of their usual diet. They liked it when they were tiny kittens, but something has happened and they now turn their noses up to tuna out of the can. I suppose this has something to do with cats being creatures of habit, and that they hate any deviation from their usual menu, no matter how good the substitution may seem to a human palate.
I ran out of dry food last night and neglected to hit the store, so I opened a can of tuna and laid it out for them. This was this morning, and I came back at midnight tonight, only to find that the fish was still untouched.
This isn't the first time either. Part of me is offended, and just wants to leave it there until the cats are so hungry that they finally give in and eat the day-old fish. These were both once starving, feral, street cats. But then they'd be mad at me and probably commit some sort of passive-aggressive feline act, such as pissing on my pillow or shitting on my bed.
